Limiting the procurement of replacement parts and the offsite rehabilitation work at PS0302 to the original equipment manufacturer ensures proper compatibility between new replacement parts and existing pump parts that will remain. In addition, the pump manufacturer will offer a manufacturer's warranty for the rehabilitated pumps if they provide the parts and offsite rehabilitation. The pumps at PS0301 are Allis-Chalmers Model 250, Size 10x10x21LC, Type NSWV. The motors for P4-1 and P4-4 are 125 HP, while the motors for P4-2 and P4-3 are 150 HP. The pumps at PS0302 are Allis-Chalmers Model 250, Size 14x12x25, Type NSMV. The motors for all five pumps are 250 HP. MMSD intends to include these parts and rehabilitation services as a sole source requirement under contract C03014C01.
