NO. 102 FILE NUMBER 200326 OFFICIAL NOTICE Published by Authority of the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee Office of the City Clerk Notice is hereby given that an ordinance that was introduced at the June 16, 2020 meeting of the Milwaukee Common Council, the essence of which is as follows: A substitute ordinance relating to zoning regulations for assembly halls and religious assembly. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows: Part 1. Section 295-201-239 of the code is amended to read: 295-201. Definitions. 239. GENERAL OFFICE means use of a building for business, professional or administrative office. A general office is characterized by a low proportion of vehicle trips attributable to visitors or clients in relationship to employees. Examples include, but are not limited to, offices of firms or organizations providing architectural, computer software consulting, data management, engineering, interior design, graphic design, real estate, insurance, investment or legal services. This term does not include a bank or other financial institution or the office of a physician, dentist, optometrist or chiropractor. Accessory uses may include, but are not limited to, common areas, break rooms and lounge areas, including kitchens, coffee bars, outdoor spaces, pet-friendly areas, game rooms, fitness centers, locker and shower rooms, meeting rooms >>, event spaces>, event or conference>, event spaces>, event or conference<< spaces may be occasionally used by outside groups. Accessory uses and functions may be related to an individual building occupant or may be common resources available to all occupants in a multi-tenant office building. Part 3. Table 295-803-1 of the code is amended to read:  Notice is hereby further given that the foregoing matter will be given a public hearing by the City Plan Commission on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 2:30 P.M.., pursuant to the provision of Sub-Section (7)(d) of Section 62.23 of the Revised Statutes of the State of Wisconsin. This will be a virtual meeting, and instructions regarding how to register to participate in the meeting will be available the City Plan Commission's website: https://city.milwaukee.gov/CPC. PLEASE NOTE: a) Members of the Common Council, and members of its Standing Committees who are not members of either Committee, may attend this meeting to participate or to gather information. Therefore, notice is given that either meeting may constitute a meeting of the Common Council or any of its Standing Committees, and must be noticed as such, although they will not take any formal action at this meeting. b) If you have difficulty with the English language, you may bring an interpreter with you, at your own expense, so that you can answer questions and participate in the hearing. c) Upon reasonable notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the needs of disabled individuals through sign language, interpreters or other auxiliary aids.
