CITYOF WAUSAU OFFICIAL NOTICE TO BIDDERSNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Public Works of the City of Wausau that it will receive sealed bids for the following project: 2023 RIVERSIDE RAIL CORRIDOR SOIL DISPOSAL PROJECT Soil Excavation/Disposal 1,600 Ton Contract documents for this project may be viewed online or down loaded at www.questcdn.com. The QuestCDN eBidDoc Number for this project is 8420494. There is a non-refund able fee of $42.00 for each set of Contract Documents. For this project bid s will and be received and accepted via the on line electronic bid service through QueslCDN.com. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and dick the online biddi.ng button at the top of the bid advertisement. (The on-line bid button will be available when the project is published and ready for bid submitting.) Bids will be received until 10:00 a.m. CDT on April 18, 2023. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if the bid is accepted, will execute and file the proposed contract and bond s within ten day s after the awarding of the contract. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN for bids to be accepted. Bidders must, be pre-qualified by the Board of Public Works. Pre-qualification documents small be submitted to the Engineering Department no later than 2:00 p.m. CDT on April 10, 2023, and show sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to properly perform the contract in accordance With Section 66.0901, Wisconsin Statutes. The Board's decision as to qualifications shall be final. The pre-qualification form is available on-line at www.ci.wausau.wt.us. An on-site meeting will be held on March 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. CDT for prospective bidders. The City's consultant will be present for the meeting to answer informal questions concerning the site investigation and planned remediation. Questions regarding the bid request documents shall be submitted to the City of Wausau by April 4, 2023, 1:00 p.m. CDT. Responses to questions and any clarifications will be published as an addendum to the bid request. The City of Wausau reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a contract in the best interest of the City of Wausau. A Performance Bond and also a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid price together with an executed contract in form prescribed by the City of Wausau will be required of the success bidder.
