SEEKING PROPOSALSThe City of West Allis is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the conversion of street lighting from high voltage series to low voltage parallel with LED luminaires, including removing existing bases, salvaging poles and arms, installing low voltage infrastructure, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work in for 2024 Project No. 17. Lighting Circuit Q-2, Lighting Circuit Q-3, and Lighting Circuit V-3 To review the location of this project, approximate material quantities, and contract documents, go to www.questcdn.com and locate Quest Project # 9046095. New bidders must pre-qualify for bidding by submitting proof of responsibility to the West Allis City Engineer. To bid on this project, qualified contractors shall submit a complete bid through Quest by no later than Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 at 10:30am. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond equal to at least 5 percent of the bid payable to the City of West Allis as a guaranty that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days after the award of the contract. If the successful bidder so files the contract and bond, upon the execution of the contract by the city the check shall be returned. In case the successful bidder fails to file such contract and bond the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the city as liquidated damages.
