OFFICIAL NOTICESUBJECT: Sole Source Justification to authorize the District to purchase (3) Eaton Series 2100 MCCs for the JI Landfill Gas Turbines. While non-OEM motor controllers are available, they require retrofitting of the Eaton MCCs, which breaches Eaton's support requirements, is not cost-effective, and voids the MCC's UL listing. Eaton does not authorize third-party contractors to install, test and certify installation of their equipment, and therefore will not honor warranties or service agreements unless Eaton field technicians perform the installation and testing. For these reasons, the District intends to purchase these MCCs on a sole source basic from Eaton Corporation. The total cost for the equipment, installation and testing is $22,213.00 You hereby have five (5) working days from the date of this publication to appeal this award.
