SEEKING PROPOSALSThe City of West Allis is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for street construction, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer relay& installation, water main relay, building services, & utility adjustments for 2024 Project No. 5 - W. New bidders must pre-qualify for bidding by submitting proof of responsibility to the West Allis City Engineer. NOTE: West Rogers Street is partially funded by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP). To bid on this project, qualified contractors shall submit a complete bid through Quest by no later than Friday, April 12, 2024 at 9:30a.m. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond equal to at least 5 percent of the bid payable to the City of West Allis as a guaranty that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days after the award of the contract. If the successful bidder so files the contract and bond, upon the execution of the contract by the city the check shall be returned. In case the successful bidder fails to file such contract and bond the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the city as liquidated damages.
