PART #1 CITY OF JANESVILLE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PUBLIC WORKS BID SCHEDULE “E” – 2024The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive electronic bids for the following listed Public Work: C2024-12 Palmer Aquatics Facility - To furnish all the labor, materials, and equipment and complete all the work necessary to construct the Palmer Aquatics Facility located at 2501 Palmer Drive, Janesville, WI. The project scope includes the construction of a new 3,500 sf pool mechanical and restroom building, 5,000 sf pool vessel, concrete pavement, chain link fencing, earthwork, asphalt paving, pavement markings, building and site demolition, electrical and lighting, plumbing, site utilities, and restoration work. An optional pre-bid meeting for prime contractors, subcontractors, and vendors will be held at the west pavilion at Palmer Park (2501 Palmer Drive) near the existing Palmer Pool at 10:00 a.m. on July 15, 2024. A walking tour of the site will follow. Quest Project Number 9198861. Confidential bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME ON WEDNESDAY, THE 31st DAY OF JULY, 2024. All bids shall be submitted electronically through QuestCDN vBid Online Bidding ONLY -- the online bid portal will be open for vBid by July 26th, 2024. No paper bids will be accepted. All bidders shall bid in accordance with contract document's Section 2 'Information to Bidders'. The above Public Work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contracts on file with the City Clerk. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. Complete bidding documents will be available on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the City of Janesville web site. www.janesvillewi.gov/bids. The download cost for each contract is $42.00 by inputting the Quest project number.
